Hanging on a huge slit limestone, what saves the city is the "Puente Nuevo" with a height of almost 100 meters it was a civil engineering exploit of the 18th century. Ronda was one of the last Arabic bastions; since its situation prevented that it was under Christian's hands until 1485. The south area corresponds to a typical white village, with paved streets and houses with railings balconies, between them a big house: Mondragón's Palace, a mansion reconstructed after the reconquest, which preserves an arcade's court with plaster-works and Arabic original mosaics. To another side of the Tagus we found the oldest bullring of Spain inaugurated in the 18th century, its museum possesses picturesque pieces and suits of fighting, valuable and ancient.
